Health and Career Education 8/9

Health and Career Education 8 and 9 has replaced CAPP 8 and 9.  Students are to receive instruction and workshops in both their grade 8 and 9 years.  The goal of this program is to improve the skills necessary to make more informed decisions regarding health, education and career planning.  Activities and workshops will focus on four curriculum organizers:  Healthy Living, Healthy Relationships, Safety and Injury Prevention and Substance Misuse Prevention.

Activities will include assemblies, Career Centre visits, and integration of some subject matter with Active Living (PE), Home Economics, Science and English classes.
